Grace Smiles – “Moon/Sun”

/

Presenting a dreamy introspection, “Moon/Sun” is a moving new single from Grace Smiles, an artist originally from the Chicago area and now based in Nashville. The lyrics stir in portraying a shift from melancholy to meaning, upon meeting someone special. The equivalent “hit of dopamine I haven’t felt since I was 16,” sends chills amidst the dreamy vocal layers. Distorted guitar layers mingle underneath cohesively, as the vocals admit “it’s not hard to know you’re the one,” decisively declaring “I’m the moon, you’re the sun.” Grace Smiles’ songwriting and vocal work excel here.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
