Miles East – “All Hands On Deck”

/

The third single from NYC-based artist Miles East, “All Hands On Deck” delivers a twangy, hooky rock sound with classic appeal. The effort comes via East’s upcoming album Between Lightning and Thunder, releasing June 7th on ECR Music Group. The album’s third single, “All Hands On Deck” continues the notable ascent for the artist, who accumulated nearly 250,000 streams across his first two singles, both previously featured: “Better Than Here” and “Lucky To Be Here Tonight.”

“It’s all hands on deck,” the vocals let out, cautioning a sense of foreboding. Multiple vocal layers lend a caressingly melodic spell amidst the sporadic guitar twangs and steady acoustical shimmering. “The captain sold his soul, the crew are on their own,” the lament continues, with the artful lyricism fit for times of ample tumult — persevering with a “we must make our own way,” ethos. A strong lyrical drive pairs with a twangy throwback rock appeal throughout the compelling “All Hands On Deck.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
