Commanding in its quivering vocal lead and darkly atmospheric guitar work, “Fragile Man” is a wonderfully eerie alt-rocker from Cherry i. The London-based band craft a masterful soundscape, as vocals admit “I only want the best for you,” within depictions of a complex relationship — where attraction exists, though also the fear of becoming too attached. “I love you so,” a particularly magnetic sequence begins, reminiscent of Dog Man Star-era Suede in its haunting guitar tones and rock spell.
