Velgas – “Aftershock” (feat. Morticio)

/

An emotive electro-pop prowess consumes on “Aftershock,” a new single from Velgas, the project of Johannes Stahl. Also featuring Morticio, “Aftershock” consumes in its structural momentum and evolving tonal range. Intensifying synth arps swell into a spacey pad, which then gives way to a throbbing bass warmness. A twangy guitar illumination adds to the steady rhythms and atmospheric synth complements, with a synthwave-friendly mid-point bridge arriving seamlessly into the title-touting vocal catharsis. “Aftershock” is a wholly moving success from Velgas and Morticio.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
