Mildenhall – “Boomerang”

/

A grooving rock crunch develops into a harmonious title-touting hook on “Boomerang,” a memorable new single from Mildenhall, a band based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A boomerang is equated to the push and pull of love — which keeps returning even as one tries to move on and throw it away. “Feeling my doubts,” the vocals let out amidst chirpy guitar tones, culminating thereafter into the “love’s a four-letter word,” bridge and boomerang comparison. Mastered by Joe LaPorta, the track is a thorough success from the band — which comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Tommy Benke, drummer Jacob Arnold, bassist Ben Barry, and lead guitarist Andrew Cerra.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
