Nate Todd – “Martian Bourgeoisie”

/

A spacey electro-pop intrigue takes hold on “Martian Bourgeoisie,” a new track from Denver-based producer, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Nate Todd. Coming via an upcoming new album with a synth-embracing, sci-fi theme, the track presents a poignant commentary on capitalism’s evils. A call to “fuck the Martian Bourgeoisie,” haunts within melodic synth developments, commenting on a dystopic future where capitalism/greed seem to have continued their dominance on society.

“Greed is a drug,” Todd says. “Some people become so warped and deformed by greed that they lose all empathy and compassion for their fellow humans. There has to be an intervention.” These sentiments are artfully captured on this stellar single alongside a momentum-filled, infectious synth-pop prowess.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
