A Lot Of Water – “Heavy Door”

/

Portland, OR-based quartet A Lot Of Water unveil a dreamy rock grip on new single “Heavy Door,” exuding a hypnotic entrancement in its hazy vocal work and layered guitars. Fuzzy rhythm guitars and a twanging, free-flowing lead bolster gentle percussion and an ethereal vocal push, spaciously inviting and tonally consistent. It’s capped off by an atmospheric, gliding guitar presence that reminds fondly of Slowdive, a la “When the Sun Hits.” We’re excited to hear what’s next from A Lot Of Water, who are also playing at PDX’s Arbor Beer Lodge on 8/23.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
