Berries consume with a funky, dreamy assortment of jangly guitars and spacey synths on memorable new single “Get That High.” First catching our ears with the serenely hooky pop single “X Marks The Spot” in 2023, the project continues to showcase a penchant for melodic immediacy. “Get That High” embraces the punchier and more electronic-savvy realm, traversing from glistening guitar strums and sturdy rhythmic undercurrents into a soaring “whatever it takes to get that high” hook — dazzling with layered vocal entrancement and more guitar-fronted shimmering as the “wanna catch a wave” aspirations yearn for renewed solace.
“Get That High” is another standout from Berries, representing the first single from our upcoming album, Sound Waves. They elaborate that it was written “at a low point, post-breakup, burned out and stuck” — and is “about trying to feel good again when nothing’s working.”
