Neuro Fuzzy – “Hämar”

/

A fantastic debut single from Brooklyn-based act Neuro Fuzzy, “Hämar” invigorates with a stylish melding of grunge, shoegaze, and alternative rock. The vocals, featuring Estonian phonetics and lyrical perspectives on “longing and inertia,” build with ethereal contemplation as the pulsing guitar textures and bouncing bass progress further.

Rumbling guitar twangs emerge with sating impact around the two-minute turn, then caressing with a dreamier vocal re-emergence shortly thereafter — making for an especially memorable sequence, on a track that overall enamors in its gripping rock allure. “Hämar” has us firmly anticipating whatever’s next from Neuro Fuzzy.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
