UK-based artist Lady Nade captivates with a magnetic, soulful new single in “One Of Us,” immersing in her emotively gripping vocal presence and seamless infusions of folk-pop, Americana, rock, and roots amidst the soulful call to “break the chain.”

Produced by Archie Sylvester, the track channels her commitment to emotional honesty as it grapples with generational wounds, self-definition, and the courage required to break inherited cycles. The track arises from a very personal place; Lady Nade’s loss of her grandmother at age ten, along with an absent father and the heavy silence that lingered in their wake, contributes to a sound that enthralls in its heartfelt sincerity and confidence for brighter days.

A title-bearing refrain commences the track with riveting enthrallment, expanding into a rousing declaration: “One of us has got to break the chain.” Lady Nade’s vocals then shift from soulful charisma to a more haunting introspection, capped off by hazy organs as the hooky refrain re-emerges, now with a more bolstered backing instrumentation of glistening keys, string-laden allure, and sturdy guitar strums.

“It’s like you’re addicted,” the vocals continue during a delectably moody build-up, invigorating into the three-minute turn, where various vocal layers strive to “break the chain” as twangy guitars coexist harmoniously alongside. “One Of Us” is a powerful, standout piece of songwriting from Lady Nade.
