A rumbling, stylish rocker with moody allure, “Horse Bit” comes via Everything But The Everything, featuring the fiercely magnetic vocals of Sophia Prise. Everything But The Everything — the project of Bay Area-based artist Izzy The Gent — has caught our ears with many tracks in the past, ranging from the ’80s alt-rock nostalgia of “Open Your Mind” to the post-punk synergy within “Never Said.” The latter featured Prise’s vocals as well, and “Horse Bit” succeeds in a similar aesthetical realm with its brooding guitar pushes and haunting vocals, immersing especially in the “coming towards me” haunting vocal and guitar pairing. “Horse Bit” is another success from this talented collaboration.
