Everything But The Everything – “Never Said”

Unveiling a riveting rock sound featuring the dynamic vocals of Sophia Prise, “Never Said” is the latest track from Everything But The Everything. The project has impressed previously with tracks like “Open Your Mind” and “Can’t Allow,” and Everything But The Everything continues their collaborative successes here, with Sophia Prise leading one of the act’s heavier-rock forays to date.

The project of Bay Area artist Izzy The Gent, Everything But The Everything wastes no time getting to the point with “Never Said.” Prise’s ghostly vocal backing is quickly joined by brooding post-punk bass ruminations and snarling guitar distortion. The vocals captivate with the gradually escalating fervency, exuding a nocturnal retrospection initially and launching into an ardent invigoration as the first minute passes. Prise’s diverse vocal range, impressing from dreamy allure to riveting rock-forward passion, complements a steady post-punk rhythmic brooding throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2022’ Spotify playlist.
