Jonah Hiro – “lost at sea”

/

A soaring atmospheric success that melds jazz, psychedelic pop, and electronica, “lost at sea” is a recently released track from Jonah Hiro. A caressingly introspective vocal presence lingers within, as lounge-friendly keys and spacey electronic elements pair with lovely jazz accents — particularly in the piano work and rhythm section. Aesthetically reminiscent of Air, the result is a track that feels fit for escapist day-dreaming, to another planet entirely — with the “fall into the ocean” lyrical beckoning suggesting a giving in to intoxicating surrender. A magnetic outro, with pulsing synths and flourishing vocal layers, wholly satiates as well.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
