A varied array of samples signals the incoming arrival of a comet. “NASA has received transmission from interstellar object 3iATLAS, confirming what we all feared,” a newscaster speaks as a sludgy bass crawl interacts with blaring doses of guitar. A charismatic lead performance ensues, with the “interstellar space blue people” descriptors of those who intend to “guide your planet” furthering that sense of an otherworldly visitor, initially perceived as a comet, but apparently so much more.
The brisk bass line and glam-friendly rock guitar continue to propel with enjoyable vigor, as the lyrics reference interstellar objects and people alike, leading into a roaring guitar solo around the midpoint. An especially resonant “we are here…” proclamation stirs toward the conclusion, where hints of rebuilding and drastic changes are echoed. A stampede of rhythms and free-flowing guitar ardor then form a compelling finale, as police sirens accompany a final sense of impending uncertainty. “3iATLAS” is a stylish, narratively gripping rock success from iATLAS.
