Premiere: Josie Lockhart – “If There’s a Heaven” (video)

/

Out today from Austin-based Josie Lockhart, the video for spirited single “If There’s a Heaven” exudes a sense of heartfelt nostalgia and quality times. Passionate guitar jangles, perky synth bounces, and an adoring vocal presence — “wish I could hold this moment for the rest of my life,” — makes for an entrancing sound throughout.

Further bolstering this stellar track is a video that beautifully encapsulates the track’s appreciative feeling. Sights of Austin, like paddling around Lady Bird Lake, add to the comforting sense of home and family. An eerie ending, reflecting the impeding presence of death even during life’s brightest moments, adds further captivating depth.

The video was shot and directed by Glenn Kurth and Todd Harris.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2022’ Spotify playlist.
