The xx Reveal New Album Details

MP3: The xx – Angels

The xx will release their new album, Coexist, on September 11th in the U.S. and the 10th elsewhere. Like their 2009 debut, it will be released on British indie label Young Turks. The announcement coincides with the reveal of “Angels”, a delicate and intimate track off Coexist. Listen to it above; it’s below the album cover, which was also revealed today.

The xx stated previously that Coexist would be inspired by “club music”. Jamie Smith said: “We’ve all come back off tour and been partying a bit more. We left when we were 17 and we missed out on that chunk of our lives when everyone else was partying. Club music has definitely had an influence on the next record.”

The tracklisting for Coexist was also announced:

01 Angels
02 Chained
03 Fiction
04 Try
05 Reunion
06 Sunset
07 Missing
08 Tides
09 Unfold
