Kylypso – “As Far As I Can”

kylypso

“As Far As I Can” is a new single from London-based electronic trio Kylypso, whose new EP finds them making progress in several regards. “After the M2U EP we decided to head out of the bedroom and into a real studio,” they explain. “Working with producer Hugh Fothergill (Kwabs, Kodaline) we took a slight change in direction — the beats a bit faster, the choruses a bit wider. We got on with Hugh so well that he decided to join and we are now a three-piece.”

The new-look and more-expansive project already has a smashing success with this effort, a very hook-y accomplishment that alternates between an effervescent and energetic chorus and atmospheric verses, with a hint of Hot Chip-like electro-funk. Look for the rest of their EP to release sometime in the next few months.
