The Soft Season – “One Hour”

/

“One Hour” is a brand new track from Toronto duo The Soft Season, who struck us with the captivating “Shine On” last month. A whisper-y synth pad haunts and jungle-set synths flicker alongside the distant vocals to start. Kickstarted by an anthemic spur of percussion, 01:40 marks the entry of an exceptional and atmospheric hook, preceded by a murky bridge that begins at 01:20 and is akin to The Knife’s enjoyable knack for dark crevices of synth-pop. Another success for this rising Toronto duo.

The Soft Season will be dropping their debut EP, You Are Loved, on July 20th, featuring five moody synth-pop tracks, including “One Hour”.

“One Hour” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2018’ Spotify playlist.
