Middle Management – “Voices”

/

Middle Management are a new act from Melbourne, Australia, whose new single “Voices” follows up their debut tracks “Return” and “21” earlier this year. “Voices” released on October 24th, and is preceding a single launch show at the Gasometer Upstairs on November 14th.

“Voices” impresses with a hypnotic hybrid of dream-pop and post-punk, the clanging and entrancing guitar work accompanying lush vocal melody nonchalance. The guitars and percussion ascend into greater vibrancy and activity as the effort progresses and the vocals repeat “come and save us now,” a section that reminds of Spiritualized. Psych-friendly and blissfully hypnotic, “Voices” is a solid entry from Middle Management.

“Voices” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2018’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Shoegaze / Post-Punk / Dream-Pop.
