Roadkeeper – “The Creeps”

//

Roadkeeper are an East Texas quartet that blend aspects of dream-pop, shoegaze, and psych-rock on their impressive new track “The Creeps.” Airy vocals and melodic guitars maintain a jangly, charismatic allure in the first two minutes, scaling back to a lush interlude at 02:33, where melancholic and yearning vocals lead over a nocturnal guitar line. Sweepingly atmospheric and melodically memorable, with lyrics exploring “emotional manipulation and abuse,” “The Creeps” is a strong showing from this rising act from East Texas.

“The Creeps” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2018’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Rock 2018.
