Blooms Tracy – “The Winner Takes It All”

/

Swedish act Blooms Tracy unleashes a beautiful blend of dream-pop and shoegaze on track “The Winner Takes It All,” a captivating effort that reminds me of a cross between Wild Nothing and The Radio Dept. Bare, hazy guitars start the track, with a synth glisten signaling the entry of a lush rhythm section. The dreamy vocals emerge shortly thereafter, as buzzing synths, rhythms, and reverbed guitars build beautifully to the expansive chorus — where the vocals unveil a more anthemic tone. “The Winner Takes It All” is a very impressive effort from this ascending Swedish act.

“The Winner Takes It All” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2018’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Shoegaze / Post-Punk / Dream-Pop.
