Bobbie Morrone – “Whiskey and Water”

/

“Whiskey and Water” is a new track from Indianapolis-based singer/songwriter Bobbie Morrone, who touts a soulful sound with his vibrant vocals, organ usage, and gospel-like backing vocal additions. A twangy guitar lead emerges around 01:35, injecting additional fervor as the “love in the air,” hook repeats with warm enjoyment. “Whiskey and Water” is an enjoyable, straight-lining track that impresses with a soulful vein of pop.

The track comes via forthcoming album Lonely St., out on February 4th. “This record took a long time to bring to life (almost three years),” Morrone says. “In that time, inspiration was extracted from the growth and patience learned while pushing through a personal fight between material and passion. These songs are a very important part of that journey and each is it’s own representation of how necessary it is to be true to yourself and your calling.”

“Whiskey and Water” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2019’ Spotify playlist.
