Paris-based musician Easy X blends electro, funk, and jazz on “Let’s move on 2,” pairing hypnotic bass lines and sleek guitar accents with atmospheric synth arrangements and expressive vocals. Created in a home studio, the track reflects the artist’s hands-on approach to combining sounds, textures, and melodic ideas into music that balances emotional resonance with easygoing appeal.
An absorbing mixture of funky infectiousness and dreamy atmospherics, “Let’s move on 2” is propelled immediately and throughout by a stylish mixture of glimmering synths, bouncy bass, and suave guitar tones. A blare of spacey synths, just past the one-minute turn, unveils a smooth vocal resonance from Alexandra. “No I won’t forget all the promises you made,” the vocals push, pleading into a “let’s move on” refrain with gripping emotionality. “I won’t forget all the promises you made,” repetition persists into the next sequence, where tender sophisti-pop guitars move with seamless, intoxicating entrancement.
The production is especially fantastic in its consistently atmospheric and melodic synergy, delighting in both the “let’s move on” ardent vocal proclamations and smoother “won’t forget all the promises…” line. The concluding mmm-ing in the vocals also lends to a punctuating tranquility. “Let’s move on 2” is a stylish replay-inducer from Easy X, whose knack for both illuminating soundscape and melodic enjoyment is prevalent on “Let’s move on 2.”
