The Landing – “Keep Lookin’ Up”

/

The catchy “Keep Lookin’ Up” melds a spacey feel with pulsing rhythms and synths, fondly reminiscent in aesthetic to Hot Chip’s most infectious efforts. The track comes from The Landing, an artist based out of Brooklyn who’s a classically trained musician and amateur astronomer. That combination certainly makes sense, as there’s a futuristic, spacey feel inherent in the tight, accomplished production. The track’s transition between lusher verses and a chorus that pops, with its spacey rhythms and vocal repetition, works without a hitch. “Keep Lookin’ Up” is an addictive success.

The track is the second single off The Landing’s upcoming EP, An Anthem for the Optimistic, out on March 15th. Stream another recent gem – “Lustre” – below:

“Keep Lookin’ Up” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Catchy Electro and Synth-Pop.
