Ronald Raygun – “Fruit”

/

Manchester seven-piece Ronald Raygun produce a lofty sound with elements of funk, jazz, psych-pop, and rock — all present on invigorating new track “Fruit.” Smooth brass and effervescent synths complement melodic vocals, with the “easy, I don’t think you want to know,” vocal line stretching out a bit for added serenity. The track finds a great balance between vibrant funk-tinged energy and laid-back pop. The stellar production and vocal performance, at times reminiscent of Junior Boys’ tonal delivery on their perkier tracks, help make “Fruit” a track with considerable replay value and a convincing aesthetic.

The track was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Sam Kennedy from the New Adelphi studios and his home studio in Manchester UK.

“Fruit” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2019’ Spotify playlist.
