People Club – “Lonesome”

“Lonesome” continues to emphasize People Club’s atmospheric production chops, previously evident on the featured track “Better.” Sarah Martin’s vocals remain a riveting presence, especially when rising during the “I don’t mind,” hook. Jangly, fluid guitars and a lingering synth backing provide an engaging atmospheric pull. A bridge at 01:43 impresses by injecting a ghostly, synth-laden feel.

Also new from the band is the track “Perfume,” a suavely engaging track with a bit of funk in the guitar licks:
