XI.ME.NA crafts a unique vein of art-pop with heavy doses of nocturnal soundscapes. Based between New York and Venezuala, XI.ME.NA makes heavy use of her serene voice throughout impressive new EP Before You — especially on the self-titled track, where various vocal layers push forward the most striking structural shifts. Opener “High Moments” is another success, touting a more rhythmic presence and lush feel in general.
