Good Days – “Violet”

The final song in Good Days’ enjoyable ROYGBIV series, “Violet” is a romantic rocker that reflects the color’s association with compassion. The “send out your love,” vocal repetition aligns with swaying keys and twangy guitars for a lush, melodic appeal. The message is one that can help soothe anxiety in a world where it’s presently prevalent. The “keep me up at night,” bridge around the two-minute mark shows a more exuberant push, before the final two minute coalesce around the “send out your love,” hook. “Violet” is a lovely track from a thematic series that succeeded in its theme and execution.

“Violet” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2020’ Spotify playlist.
