Dr. LaFlow – “Glitter & Grime”

Reminding fondly of MF Doom, “Glitter & Grime” is an excellent track from Dr. LaFlow. The South Florida-based artist is prepping his upcoming album Not For Human Consumption, with “Glitter & Grime” as its first single. I’m loving everything about it. A suavely entrancing vocal flow meshes nicely with string-laden flourishes and vocal samples, sounding like a beat The Avalanches would churn out. This is certainly a track that embodies the atmospheric and melodic charm of a project like MF Doom, all while bringing forth its own inventiveness. I’ll certainly be anticipating Not For Human Consumption.

“Glitter & Grime” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Hip-Hop.
