Draumr – “Elsewhere Forever”

/

“Elsewhere Forever” is a haunting beauty of a track from Draumr, a French dream-pop project. Soaring vocals entrance throughout the entire track, with dreamy guitar tones and glistening piano producing melodic splendor. Per songwriter Gabriel Cheurfa, the track “is portraying a man at its lowest, lost in time, dwelling on the past, as he faces himself, his wrongdoings and his flaws for the first time in a long while.” The track’s lovely music video was directed by French collective Chroniques Cosmiques. The release impresses in its entirety, from its alluring melodic strengths to stirring aesthetic and visually apt video. I’m certainly looking forward to the next release from Cheurfa’s promising project.

“Elsewhere Forever” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
