Memory Mask – “Flood Your Heart”

climactic percussion and a consuming vocal presence build well throughout in evolving form on “Flood Your Heart,” the new track from Memory Mask, the solo project of Shawn Helton. Helton previously was the singer of post-punk band The Opposite Sex (featured here about 13 years ago). Aesthetically, the track reminds fondly of the band Suede, especially upon the rise around 01:20. A contemplative first half gradually ascends into added textural allure in the final minute.
