Lara Taubman – “Revelation”

A stirring folk track from Lara Taubman‘s album of the same name, “Revelation” sets a wintry soundscape with its lyrical imagery and barren acoustical charm. The affirming track features the “love is so simple,” refrain with wholesome effectiveness. Taubman’s vocal passion emits a pleasurable sincerity, serving especially well as the album’s closing track. Revelation features nine tracks that exemplify Taubman’s songwriting talents, ranging from this more understated gem, to bass-y expanders like “Hookup.” Fans of both intimate folk and no-frills rock are likely to enjoy this album thoroughly.

“”Revelation” is about my journey to heal through making music,” Taubman says. “Following a call to begin singing five years ago led me to a series of fortuitous events that created this album. Music always saved me, now I hope to return the favor.”
