Satellites In Orbit – “That’s True”

Satellites in Orbit show an intense alternative hip-hop sound on new single “That’s True.” Buzzing synths and a playful vocal flow converge to engage initially, with interesting twists thereafter. “That’s true,” is repeated around 01:30, growing from murky unknowns into a pop-forward hook. The buzzing synths and bass re-appear, further solidifying the consuming soundscape in a nocturnal, industrial vein. Rage Against The Machine meets MF DOOM. “That’s True” touts admirable structural twists and atmospheric ingenuity, deftly balancing industrial soundscapes with a pop-forward hook.

The project comprises Patrick Laundrie (DATACRON) and Adam Rushfield (DRGS).

“That’s True” and other memorable tracks from July can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2020’ Spotify playlist.
