Sunhills – “You Love Me ‘Cause You’re Bored”

//

Melodic psych-pop dazzler “You Love Me ‘Cause You’re Bored” is a stellar new track from Sunhills. The Salt Lake City-based project struts quaint, bouncy verses with subtle guitars at first, expanding into a soaring hook just before the one-minute mark hits. “You love me ’cause you’re bored, I love you like a fool,” the vocals exude with suaveness. Aesthetically, I’m fondly reminded of Benji Hughes. The “where is your mind?” bridge during the second half plays with a spacey, hypnotic haze that firmly succeeds. “You Love Me ‘Cause You’re Bored” is an engaging, catchy success from Sunhills.

“You Love Me ‘Cause You’re Bored” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
