Vases – “Here To You”

“Here To You” is a new track from Los Angeles-based project Vases, the moniker of Ty Baron. Elements of dream-pop, post-punk, and rock converge with fantastic results. “We don’t have to talk at all,” the vocals let out during the chorus, majestic and shimmering with a starry-eyed appeal. The concluding culmination — and verses in general — remind fondly of Interpol, specifically classic track “NYC.” The dreamy keys during 02:30 also provide a notable, catching moment — teasing ample effervescence that gradually takes place in the final moments. “Here To You” is a moving, captivating success from Vases.

Baron recorded his forthcoming debut album with Omar Yakar (War on Drugs, Perfume Genius), at Boulevard Recording in Hollywood. “Here To You” features guest vocals from Marlon Rabenreither (Gold Star).

“Here To You” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2021’ Spotify playlist.
