Da Capo – “Following You”

“Following You” is an emotive crooner from French artist Da Capo. Sophisti-pop and bossa nova vibes flow enjoyably, building to a vocally expressive chorus with string-laden yearning. A jaunty piano progression follows, as vocals join with a melodically energetic fervor, reminiscent fondly of Danny Wilson. The verses’ suave disposition contrasts with the very grandiose nature of the chorus, complete with majestic vocals and string-forward enthusiasm. The three-minute mark brings a delightful bridge, incorporating guitars amidst an organ backing. I’m looking forward to hearing what’s next from Da Capo.

“Following You” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2021’ Spotify playlist.
