Circling Skies – “Forgotten”

“Forgotten” is a moving, lushly produced track from Circling Skies, the project of Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer Nolan Thies. Spacious synth-laden effervescence and trickling guitars cast an intriguing feeling amidst serene vocals, gradually ushering in atmospheric guitars that shimmer with a post-punk nostalgia. Further, wordless vocal soaring and resonating guitar distortion makes for another memorable section, also exuding a post-punk and synth-pop convergence that engrosses. “Forgotten” is fully exemplary of Thies’ melodic and atmospheric talents.

“Forgotten” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2021’ Spotify playlist.
