Petting Zoo – “If You Lived Here… You’d Be Home Now!”

//

The second single from Petting Zoo‘s forthcoming third album, “If You Lived Here… You’d Be Home Now!” is a superbly catchy success. Chugging rock verses set a straight-cutting route initially, guiding seamlessly into a fantastic chorus with a nostalgic power-pop punch. “Try to decompress,” the vocals let out, contrasting enjoyably with its free-flowing melodic charm from the verses’ heavier rock steadiness. An expressive bass line frontlines the chorus past the two-minute mark, making for an especially memorable moment leading into a hooky guitar solo. Modern indie, classic rock, and power-pop converge for lovely results on “If You Lived Here… You’d Be Home Now!”
