Pure Inch – “Another Day”

/

Enthralling with a twinkling array of synths and textural production charm, “Another Day” is a fantastic track from electronic artist Pure Inch, the project of Janis Purins. Also taking inspiration from the ’90s rave scene, the project’s 3-track EP (streaming below) deftly balances intense rhythmic propulsions with shimmering synth-laden melodics. Another EP track, “Ogre” fuses various wordless vocal layers over heavy house-inspired bass and drums, the hectic vocal layers providing a hypnotic pull. The opening “Another Day” stands out in particular for its captivating evolution; spacey synth and piano flickers, minimalist in force initially, grow seamlessly into ardent rhythmic and atmospheric displays. The 4×4 drums and deep house resonance throughout these three EP tracks have Another Day firmly on my radar for future releases.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2022’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Electronic.
