Catatonic Suns – “Exit 66”

//

The gorgeously hypnotic rocker “Exit 66” is a recent track from Allentown, PA-based band Catatonic Suns. Suavely entrancing vocals and swirling guitars craft an inviting introduction; the dazed, wordless backing vocal touch approaching the one-minute mark adds an eerily delectable psych-laden momentum. “Don’t you ever try to kiss the sky,” the vocals let out in the ensuing verses, aptly exuding a soaring quality. Serene, mesmerizing guitar tones and suave vocal soaring lead an impressive sound throughout “Exit 66,” one of many highlights from the group’s newly released album Saudade, streaming below:

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2022’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Psychedelic Rock.
