Dog Walk – “What Do They See”

Dog Walk deliver a delectably dark surf-rock sound throughout their newly released self-titled album. The track “What Do They See” is enjoyably representative; soaring vocals and grooving bass join alongside dual-layered vocals, the production reminiscent of Ariel Pink. “What do they see?” the vocals ask during the hooky refrain, bolstered by a conclusion with wordless vocal soaring concocting an eerily consuming pull. Additional highlights include the jangly “Dog Walk,” hazy Mac Demarco-esque “Goodbye Baby,” and “So Much More.”
