Abbi Press – “Moonlight”

/

A dreamy mystique compels throughout “Moonlight,” a new track from Austin-based artist Abbi Press. Lush vocal yearning for a “better life, a better day,” floats amidst spacey synths. “Where does the time go when the record runs dry?” Press asks during a dazzling rise, the ensuing sequence sending chills upon the percussive entry at the one-minute turn.

“I’ll be dancing,” Press sings during a more spacious expansion, as various vocal layers excitedly converge during the “dancing in the moonlight,” culmination. The initial lyrics’ reprisal resonates alongside the more bolstered synths and rhythmic backbone, reminding fondly of Little Dragon and Robyn. “Moonlight” casts a serenely melodic spell throughout.

  1. Pretty catchy. Thank you for sharing this one. I quite like the sound. Was not previously familiar with her.
