Granola Sam – “Apple Pie”

/

The ardent “Apple Pie” is the latest single from Atlanta-based artist Granola Sam, via his new album Codpndnt, which he recorded in Nashville with Max Helgemo.

“I just wanna see you naked, forever,” he lets out, driving to the emotive “I adore you,” outpouring. A twangy guitar-based endearment plays amidst the backing acoustical underlying, with the generally understated instrumentation highlighting the vocals’ emotion and lyrical vulnerability. “I want you to need me,” he sings into another doting sequence — “just mad for you.”

A yearning and romantic ballad with twangy Americana and folk appeal, “Apple Pie” is a moving effort from Granola Sam, whose new album “seeks to display some of the passion and hunger that can come from gay codependency,” per the artist.
