Pop Molecules – “I Can’t Tell Your Voice from Mine”

/

“I Can’t Tell Your Voice from Mine” is a catchy fusing of power-pop and rock smarts from Pop Molecules, the Pasadena-based project of singer/songwriter Dan Komin. A playful synth lead, resembling a spirited whistle, lends a feeling of exuberance alongside guitar pulses to start. Komin’s calming vocals emerge as that initial energy fades, now bolstered instead by lush synths and jangly guitars. “I can’t tell your voice from mine,” Komin sings during this delightful hook, serving as a replay-inducing nugget throughout.

The stellar “I Can’t Tell Your Voice from Mine” comes from the project’s new EP, Ceilings and Floors, streaming below:

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2022’ Spotify playlist.
