Linuss – “Make Me”

/

A dreamy pop delight with swooning vocals and glistening keys intertwining with jangly guitars, “Make Me” is a new track from Los Angeles-based artist Linuss, the project of singer/songwriter and guitarist Michael Glines (Vues). The first single from Linuss’ upcoming 11-track album Signs, Glines describes “Make Me” as “about a shared dream with a partner, and trying to stay asleep in that dream despite that its stars are burning out.”

The effervescent burst of the “oh baby,” escalation sends chills, seamlessly arising from the dreamy composure within the verses. Solemn synth buzzing and subdued vocals construct an enticing bridge thereafter, showing shades of Beach House’s dream-pop vein with the vocal melody and guitar trickle. “Make Me” is a thoroughly inviting dream-pop success from Linuss.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2023’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
