“Before it Ends” is the latest single from Toy Dinosaur, the duo of Joshua Batstone and Brian Bob Young. Gentle acoustics and jangly guitars complement vocals that express holding onto the past, while acknowledging that “everyone needs someone every now and then, before it ends.”
An ensuing vocal rise plays with invigoration, exuding a sound fondly reminiscent of The Replacements. A twangy guitar emphasis in the final minute gears into a lush, harmonious outro, capping off this stellar track in satiating form.
