Alexander Painter – “Leave The Light On”

//

A vibrant sophisti-pop bounciness enamors on “Leave The Light On,” a new track from UK artist Alexander Painter. The Devon native, now based in Brighton, draws from a range of influences — blending jazz and contemporary classical influence with an admiration for the ’70s New York experimental scene.

Perky piano and bustling rhythms traverse into the resonating title-touting emphasis, bolstered with additional keys. Gorgeous strings add past the mid-point, as a delicate piano-forward break evolves into the satiating conclusion, rousing with the entire arsenal of instrumentation. “Leave The Light On” is a well-lit pop success with rhythmic and melodic exuberance.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2023’ Spotify playlist.
