Twangy guitars, caressing acoustics, and dreamy vocals converge blissfully on the enchanting single “Midnight,” a new track from Hurricane Yellow, the solo outlet for Miami-based artist Oscar Sardiñas — who notes that the track “is dedicated to my newborn son.” Joining on the production are a cast of talented Miami-based musicians: Tim Watson, Brian Lange, and Dion Kerr.
Expressive guitar whimpers and calming acoustics complement initial vocals emphasizing a more relaxed, carefree ambition. “Unlock your door and throw away the key,” they entice. Gentle key twinkling and the lush guitar twangs correspond with gorgeously melodic qualities. Dexterous guitar jangles build steadily in the conclusion, arriving to a quick-paced excitement with roaring guitars as this fantastic track comes to a close.
Sardiñas is also known for his work as singer/guitarist for Miami psych-rock band Jaialai.
