Mick J. Clark – “Anuther Sunny Hulliday”

/

The polished, island-set pop sound on “Anuther Sunny Hulliday” transports to a sunny escape, far away from dreary skies and 9-to-5 mundanity. UK artist Mick J. Clark releases the track as part of his Notes Two album, exemplary through 12 tracks of Clark’s knack for harmonious songwriting immediacy.

“As long as everyday the weather is hot, you’re as rich as that old millionaire who lives on his yacht,” Clark proclaims at one point, emphasizing the feelings-over-riches sentiments throughout; when the weather and vibe is good, that feels like true wealth. The chorus dazzles with its string-tinged backing. “Wherever you will be, will seem like paradise, if it’s a sunny holiday.” This is a playfully enticing production with replay-inducing appeal, appearing weightless in its friendly production and positive lyrical themes/messaging.
