Dale Sheppard – “She’s Sowing Time”

/

Moody post-punk guitars and lush synth involvement builds to a warming title-touting refrain on “She’s Sowing Time,” a memorable single from Canadian singer/songwriter Dale Sheppard. The illuminated synths lend a chilling, spacey component as the multi-layered vocals emphasize “she’s sowing time,” following verses with a bass-heavy suaveness alongside the reserved vocal composure. A sturdy guitar emphasis past the three-minute turn helps drive into a stellar conclusion.

Sheppard elaborates on the personal meaning behind the track:

“”She’s Sowing Time” is a song I composed from the poem my wife, Kim Sheppard, wrote during her journey with cancer. In the intro to this video, she writes… “It is the collision of terror and hope that are the force behind “She’s sowing time”. It is the terror that drives, but the hope that saves. That, and the love and strength of my husband who took my words and so brilliantly composed the music to create this song.”
